C. TO MAKE AN L CUT

L cuts are cuts that remove a part of the tile so that the tile fits in a
corner, around an electrical or inspection box, or a piece of moulding,
and it is achieved by means of two separate cuts.
Setup to cut the material to the desired width using the instructions
for the straight cut.
1. Using a marker or pencil, mark the lines to cut on the material.
2. Adjust the angle guide to the desired width, and secure it in place.
3. Place the material on the table and hold it firmly against the angle
guide and fence.
4. Ensure that the material does not touch the cutting blade before
switching on the saw and move the on/off switch to the ON position.
5. Allow the cutting blade to reach its maximum speed and wait for it
to become wet before moving the sliding table towards the blade.
6. Hold the material firmly against the angle guide and fence and
move the material to be cut towards the cutting blade.
7. Make the cut to the marked length, without cutting excessively.
8. Turn the on/off switch to the off position and turn the material
round to cut along the other marked line.
9. After making the cut, switch off the saw. Wait for the cutting blade
to stop completely before removing any part of the material.
D. TO MAKE A MITER CUT
Bevel cuts of 22.5° and 45° can be made by tilting the cutting head.
1. Move the sliding table to the user's work position so that the cutting
head can rotate without the blade interfering with the table.
2. Release the locking lever located at the rear of the cutting head
and tilt the cutting head to the desired angle, and re-lock the locking
lever firmly and ensure table does not come into contact with blade
and any point in the table path.
NOTE: The 0° and 45° position is set at the factory. If it is maladjusted,
see the Adjustments section of this manual.
NOTE: Ensure that the cutting head is firmly locked in its position
before starting to cut.
WARNING! Do not place the cutting head at an angle other than
0°, 22.5°, or 45º, as the blade could damage the sliding table and
injure the user.
3. Place the angle guide in the appropriate position according to the
width of the tile to be cut.
4. Place the tile to be cut on the sliding table and hold it firmly against
the angle guide.
NOTE: When the tile is located to the right of the cutting head, it must
be placed face down for an outside miter cut.
5. Turn the on/off switch to the ON position. Allow the cutting blade
to reach its maximum speed and wait for water to arrive at the cooling
nozzle before moving the sliding table towards the blade.
6. After making the cut, switch off the saw. Wait for the cutting blade
to stop completely before removing any part of the material.
E. TO MAKE A PLUNGE CUT
To make square cuts in the center of the tile for electrical outlets or air
registers, use the plunge function.
1. Mark the lines of the area to be cut with a pencil or marker.
2. Hold handle and release the cutting head by removing the locking
pin and loosening the locking knob.
3. Locate the tile in the center of the table with the visible side
upwards and align the marks with the cutting blade.
4. Turn the on/off switch to the ON position. Allow the cutting blade
to reach its maximum speed and wait for the water to arrive at the
cooling nozzle.
5. Lower the cutting blade to the tile without cutting further than the
marked line.
6. When the cut is made, lift the cutting head, and switch off the saw.
7. Repeat the process on the other marked lines

7. MAINTENANCE OF THE SAW
This saw has been set in the factory to make accurate cuts.
Nevertheless, some of the components may have become misaligned
during transport. Also, with the passage of time, readjustment will
likely be required due to wear.
To guarantee the SAFETY and RELIABILITY of the product, repairs
and maintenance, (including the inspection and replacement of the
brushes) must be carried out by an authorized service center or other
qualified service organizations, always using identical spare parts.
Contact the RUBI after-sales service to receive technical
support and carry out the adjustment for smooth and accurate
table sliding.
WARNING: When carrying out maintenance use only original spare
parts. Use of any other part can create a hazard or cause damage to
the product.
7.1 CLEANING THE SAW
It is important to clean the saw frequently.
During use, the angle guide and other saw components get dirty,
preventing them from sliding smoothly.
Unplug the machine before carrying out any adjustments, repairs, or
maintenance.
Do not use aggressive cleaning products to clean the machine. Only
use mild soap and a damp cloth for cleaning.
Do not submerge the machine in water.
• Spray the table with a hose, and then with a small brush and water
clean each part thoroughly to remove any trapped residue.
• Remove the drain plug and empty the dirty water in a bucket.
Clean the water tank by spraying it with a hose or using
a wet cloth.
• Rinse the machine properly.
• Dispose of the wastewater in accordance with local regulations
• Replace the drain plug. Fully tighten.
• Dry the saw.
7.2 REMOVING THE SLIDING TABLE
The sliding table can be removed to carry out maintenance and
cleaning tasks.
• Turn the travel limiter located at the front of the frame until the slot
is aligned with the table.
• Remove the table by moving it back towards you and at the same
time as holding it firmly to prevent it falling to the floor.
WARNING: Take care not to knock the rails or the wheels of the table's
sliding system, to prevent faults or maladjustments.
7.3 ADJUSTING THE SLIDING TABLE
If the table does not slide easily or there is free play between the rails
and wheels, it moves from side to side, or it is misaligned with the
cutting blade, then adjustments must be made.
Contact the RUBI after-sales service to receive technical
support and carry out the adjustment for smooth and accurate
table sliding.
7.4 ADJUSTING THE BLADE ANGLE
The blade angle has been set in the factory, but if the angle is not
correct, it must be adjusted.
If the blade is not exactly vertical (0°):
• Loosen the miter locking lever located at the rear of the
cutting head.
• Place a carpenter's square next to the blade and resting
on the table.
• Loosen the locking nut and with a hexagonal key, rotate the 0°
adjustment screw until the blade is square with the table and the
adjustment screw rests on the saw arm.
• Tighten the screw and locking nut firmly and tighten the miter
locking lever and verify adjustment.
