ASSEMBLY
ATTENTION: Do not connect the machine to the power supply until the assembly is complete.
Failure to comply could result in serious injury.
WORKBENCH
•
If the machine is to be used in a permanent location, it is recommended that the machine be secured to a
workbench or other stable surface using the appropriate fasteners (not supplied). Use the machine base to mark
and pre-drill the mounting holes. To reduce noise and vibration, install a soft foam pad (not supplied) between
the base of the machine and the workbench.
•
Secure the saw so that people cannot stand, sit or walk behind it. The debris thrown from the saw could injure
them.
•
Secure the saw on a firm, level surface where the saw cannot swing. Make sure there is enough space to properly
handle and support the workpiece.
ALIGN BEVEL INDICATOR
NOTE: The bevel indicator has been set at the factory, however, it must be checked before use (Fig.
1 to 4).
1.
Remove the protective foot from the blade (1) with the Phillips screwdriver (2) to loosen the screw.
2.
Loosen the table bevel locking knob (3) and move the table until it is approximately at right angles to the
blade.
Fig. 1
3.
Loosen the locking nut (5) of the table adjustment screw (6) by turning it counterclockwise. Lower the table
adjustment screw by turning it clockwise.
4.
Use a combination square (7) to set the table exactly 90° to the blade (8). If there is space between the
square and the leaf, adjust the angle of the table until the space is closed.
5.
Lock the table bevel lock knob (3) to prevent it from moving.
6.
Tighten the adjusting screw (6) under the table until the tip of the screw touches the table. Tighten lock
nut (5).
7.
Loosen screw (4) by holding the bevel scale indicator and position indicator at 0°. Tighten the screw.
8.
Secure the blade guard foot (1) with the hexagonal wrench (2) so that the foot is flat against the table.
Tighten the screw.
