7. Lift the kettle from the base and then pour the water.
DANGER: be careful when pouring hot water from the
kettle, as boiling water can cause burns. Also, to keep the
steam away from the handle, do not open the lid during
boiling.
8. The electric kettle will not resume boiling until the on/off switch is pressed again. The electric
kettle can be stored on the power base when not used.
DANGER: always disconnect the power supply when
not using the appliance.
9. After use, to avoid limescale residue, it is recommended to empty the kettle completely.
PROTECTION AGAINST OVERHEATING AND "EMPTY" BOILING
If you incorrectly leave the kettle running without water and the kettle overheats, the safety
protection automatically switches off the appliance.
In this case, let the kettle cool before filling it with cold water and before putting it back into
operation (about 15 minutes).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before proceeding with the cleaning, always disconnect the kettle from the power outlet
and let it cool completely.
1. Remove limescale deposits
The electric kettle should be periodically descaled as the mineral deposits in the tap water
can form deposits at the bottom of the kettle, and cause a lower operating efficiency.
To remove these deposits:
A)
Minus 8 vinegar available commercially: fill the kettle with half a litre of vinegar. Let
it rest over night without heating. Empty the kettle and rinse it for 5 or 6 times.
Repeat if necessary.
Citric acid: Boil half a litre of water – add 25 g of citric acid and leave for 15 minutes.
B)
Empty the kettle and rinse it for 5 or 6 times. Repeat if necessary.
Do not use other methods than recommended ones.
2. Cleaning the outside of the kettle
Clean the outside of the kettle with a soft and wet cloth or with a mild detergent.
