Raising the vehicle
Risk of severe injuries.
Never work on under or near a
¾
vehicle that is only supported by the
jack.
Lift at the centre of gravity, not on the
¾
side or at an angle.
Do not use the jack and jack stand
¾
simultaneously at one end of the
vehicle or on a side of the vehicle.
1. Ensure that the vehicle is standing on solid
ground.
2. Pull the hand brake and block the wheels of the
vehicle from rolling away.
3. Only use the designated lifting points on the ve-
hicle in order to lift the vehicle. Refer to the user
manual of the vehicle to identify the lifting points.
4. Rotate the handle [5] clockwise to close the re-
lease valve. Do not twist the valve too tight when
closing.
5. In order to bring the vehicle into the desired posi-
tion, pump the handle up and down.
6. Place the support frame at the designated lifting
points when the desired height has been reached.
7. Carefully rotate the handle [5] counter-clockwise
in order to slowly lower the vehicle onto the sup-
port frame.
Lowering the vehicle
1. Pump up the jack using the handle [5] until the
vehicle is no longer supported on the support
frame.
2. Remove the support frame. Thereby, pay atten-
tion that no one is located under the vehicle.
3. Grip the handle with both hands. Securely hold
on to the jack handle so your hands do not slip.
4. Carefully rotate the handle [5] counter-clockwise
in order to open the release valve and slowly low-
er the vehicle.
WARNING!
Maintenance and cleaning
It is recommended to perform maintenance on the
jack on a monthly basis.
Lubricating the jack is crucial since it supports heavy
loads. Each limitation due to dirt, rust etc. can either
cause slow movements or extremely quick impacts
that can damage internal components.
The following steps are required in order to keep the
jack in good working condition:
Lubricate lifting arm [3], steering rollers [9],
handle swivel pin [7], front axis [1], zerk grease
fittings, release valve [6] and all other bearing
surface with multi-purpose grease.
Visual check for damaged weld seams, bending
loose and missing parts or leakage.
If the jack has been subjected to an abnormal
level of load or impact, put it out of operation and
have it checked by a customer service representa-
tive before use.
Clean all surfaces and keep all warning instruc-
tions clean.
Check the oil quantity in the oil quantity monthly.
When re-filling, ensure that the oil is compatible
with the oil that is already in the tank.
Check the tappet for signs of rust and corrosion
every three months. If required, clean and wipe
with an oil cloth. Lower the lifting arm with the
support saddle if the jack is not being used.
Store the jack in dry place where it is not exposed to
corrosive vapour, abrasive dust or other damaging
elements.
Troubleshooting
Deaeration (Fig. III)
1. Remove cover [4]
2. Rotate the handle [5] counter-clockwise thereby
completing one full rotation.
3. Pump six to eight full strokes using the handle.
4. Press the oil fill plug [10] carefully to the side
using a flat-tip screwdriver in order to release the
trapped air.
5. Put on the cover.
6. Rotate the handle [5] clockwise to close the re-
lease valve and check that the pump is operating
properly.
Note
It is presumably required to carry out the
above steps several times in order to fully
release the enclosed air.
