4. CARE WHEN USING AND HANDLING ELECTRIC
TOOLS:
a) Never overload an electric tool. This seriously
damages the equipment and shortens its useful life.
b) The useful life of an electric tool directly depends
on the conditions of use and care taken during its
operation. In order to increase the usage time of your
tool, keep the equipment and its accessories always
clean and pay attention to the necessary periodic
maintenance.
c) Use the appropriate tool according to the
application or work to be performed. The correct tool
will get the work done faster and safer when used in the
application for which it was designed.
d) Do not use an electric tool that has a defective
on/off switch. Tools that cannot be controlled by the
switch represent a danger and must be repaired.
e) Remove the plug from the socket before making
adjustments, assembling accessories or even before
storing the equipment. It prevents involuntary and
accidental starting of the tool.
f) Store electric tools out of the reach of children and
people who are not familiar with the equipment and
the instructions contained in this manual. Electric
tools are dangerous when used by inexperienced
people.
g) Always keep the electric tool in good working
order. Check for misalignments, stuck or broken
parts that could affect the normal performance of
the equipment. If damaged, have the tool properly
maintained before use. Many accidents are caused by
a lack of preventive and/or corrective maintenance of
the tool.
h) Always keep cutting tools clean and sharp. Parts
in good condition and well sharpened get stuck less
frequently and can be used more easily.
i) Use electric tools, accessories and cutting
and drilling tools in accordance with the safety
instructions contained in this manual. Always
evaluate the task to be performed considering the
aspects and conditions of the work environment.
Using electric tools for other purposes for which they
were not designed may result in serious accidents.

matches the voltage indicated on the equipment's
nameplate.
Drill Specific Safety Instructions:
The following instructions are for drilling work. Fully
read them before using the tool in order to reduce the
risk of accidents.
a) Use earplugs during the drilling work with or without
the hammer function. Being exposed to high noises can
cause hearing loss.
b) Use the auxiliary handle, when available. Losing
control of the tool can cause accidents.
c) Hold the drill by its insulated surfaces when using
it at places that can touch electrical wiring or even
the equipment's power cord. If cutting tools come
into contact with live electrical wiring, they can cause
electrical shock to the operator.
d) Firmly fit and fasten the bit to the drill's chuck
before using it.
