Safety instructions :
The following safety instructions must be followed :
-
Never let the water pump run dry. If the motor overheats and stops, check that there is no dirt
blocking the filter and that the hose is not kinked, which would prevent the flow of water. Also check
that there is no air in the motor or hoses. If the filter still does not work, contact the manufacturer.
-
Make sure all hoses in the system are connected.
-
Observe the operation of the filter to make sure there are no leaks or problems.
-
This filter is designed for using in a home aquarium tank and cannot be used for any other purpose
than that indicated.
-
The filter should be installed on a flat, stable surface. It should not be installed horizontally. Do not
place anything on the filter.
-
The power cable is not replaceable. Do not attempt to repair it yourself. If the cable is damaged, the
entire filter must be replaced.
-
Use suitable filter materials, such as the Watsea products recommended for the filter. Unsuitable
filter materials may reduce the performance of the filter.
-
The hose should not be too long, as it may kink or knot and thus reduce or stop the water flow.
-
Choose the right filter size for the size of the aquarium.
-
Precautions should be taken, for example in the case of sick or weakened fish, to prevent them or
the fry from being sucked into the filter.
-
Unplug the filter before undertaking any work on the filter.
-
Never unplug with wet or damp hands.
-
Make sure the power cord, plug and wall outlet are clean and dry.
-
Keep out of reach of children.
-
Keep all combustible items and materials away from the filter.
