You can remove the cable ties when all the railing rods are fastened. The
grub screws that hold the railing rods to the step sides can be tightened.
Step 11
Use a hacksaw or an angle grinder to cut off the railing rods below the
sleeve (Fig. 1). Do not damage the stair stringers! Then drive the plastic pipe
stoppers (pos. 13) into the railing rods from below.

Drill a hole in the center of each plastic cap with a Ø 5 mm drill bit so that
rainwater can drain off easily. If holes are not drilled, freezing rainwater can
damage the rail or handrail holder in winter when temperatures drop below
zero.
