INTRODUCTION
This service manual is intended for users of the submerged group type TXI. It contains the instructions for
installation, service and maintenance.
Before proceeding to do any kind of work on the equipment, users should read this manual carefully and
pay attention to any suggestions and tips given in it, particularly the ones preceded by the following safety
symbols:

DESCRIPTION AND USE
Submersible electric pumps are as a rule pumps with one or more impellers in series. They are directly
coupled to special asynchronous submersible motors.
TAKE NOTE
The standard version of the products is not suitable for:
continuous operation with a water velocity outside the motor casing of not less than 8 cm/sec
pumping water with a temperature exceeding 30ºC.
dry operation.
pumping fluids other than clear and fresh water;
pumping water with a solid concentration exceeding 200 gr/m
locate the systems in premises classified as involving an explosion risk.
use these for moving inflammable liquids.
operation with completely close valve exceeding 1 minute.
pump operation in reverse sense of rotation.
SET UP AND INSTALLATION.
Prior to proceeding with the submerged group installation, the well diameter shall be duly verified. It
shall necessarily be larger than the max, diameter of the group. On the other hand, there should be
no roughness prone to damage the group or the cable.
The motor shall never be started prior to installing at any rate, even though the motor might be
filled with water or for a matter of a few seconds only.
A verification shall be made as to whether the mains voltage is coinciding with that started for both
the motor and the operating panel.
TAKE NOTE The motor shall never be started if not duly filled with water, as it would become damaged in
matter of a few seconds only, otherwise. The motors are supplied filled with fluid.
The isolation of the motor must be checked before and after splicing the mains' cables. To check properly
the filling of the motor as well as its isolation, follow the instructions given in the motor specific manual
