4. Maintenance
Before each Use:
• Check the condition and function of the sliding part and the locking pin AND the magnet
according to FX Operating Instructions
Weekly:
• Check the extension arm for deformation, crazing and wear
• Should the lifting eyes be visibly worn these must be replaced immediately
• Lubricate the sliding part and the locking pin
• Damaged and/or almost illegible nameplates must be replaced immediately
Yearly:
• A regular check shall be conducted by DGUV/BGR 500/Section 2.8 at least every 12
months. Depending on the conditions of the Lifting magnet checks at shorter intervals may
be necessary.
Always read the operating instructions for the FX lifting magnets!
4.1 Service life/load change according to EN 13001
EN 13155 requires lifting magnets that are to be used for more than 16,000 load cycles to
be classified in load classes according to EN 13001.
In accordance with EN 13001 for lifting magnets that are to be used for more than 16,000
load cycles. FX series comply with stress class S8 = >2,000,000 load cycles.
