PURPOSE OF USE

The battery drill can be used for the following purposes:
• drilling and countersinking
• use only with Beta's 20V rechargeable batteries
-
The battery drill must not be used for the following purposes:
• use of any batteries other than as stated.
WORK AREA SAFETY
Do not operate the drill in environments containing potentially explosive atmospheres, because sparks may be generated,
which can ignite dust or fumes.
While using the drill for jobs performed high from the ground, take all necessary precautions, to eliminate or minimize risk
to other workers, following accidental falling of any equipment (for example, isolation of the work area and placement of
proper signs).
Do not expose any electric tools to rain or humidity.
Avoid contact with live equipment: the drill is not insulated, and contact with live parts can cause electric shocks.
Keep children and bystanders away from your workplace while operating the drill. Distractions from other people can
cause you to lose control over the drill.
PERSONNEL SAFETY
- Stay alert; watch what you are doing. Do not use the drill while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
- Always use personal protective equipment.
- Check that the switch is in the OFF position before connecting it to the power source.
- Do not keep your finger on the switch when carrying the tool
- Keep proper balance at all times. This will enable better control of the drill in unexpected situations.
- Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery,
and long hair can get caught in moving parts
- Store the drill out of the reach of children. Do no allow persons who are unfamiliar with the use of the drill or have not read these
instructions to operate the tool.
- Operate the drill, accessories, bits etc. in accordance with these instructions and as intended, considering the working
conditions as well as the operations to be performed. Using the drill for any operations other than as intended might result in
hazardous situations.
- Do not modify the drill. This can reduce the effectiveness of safety measures and increase operator risk.
BATTERY DRILL SAFETY
- Make sure that the nameplate is readable; get a replacement nameplate from the manufacturer, if need be.
- If the workpiece or the drill bit should break, loose parts may be thrown at high speed.
- Operators and maintenance personnel should be physically able to handle the weight and power of the drill.
- Avoid contact with moving parts of the drill, as this may cause injury.
- Make sure that the direction of rotation of the drill is fit for use.
