To prevent excessive overhang, the mandrel shall be inserted to the full depth of the gripping jaws of the collet and the resulting
overhung length shall be no greater than the inserted depth. Improper installation may result in serious injury.
Ensure that the grinding wheel or other abrasive accessory is correctly mounted and tightened before use. Improper installation may
result in serious injury.
Before starting this tool, the operator shall make sure that no one is in the plane of rotation. Injury from debris or broken accessories is
more likely in this direction.
When starting a cold wheel, apply it to the work slowly until the wheel gradually warms up. Make smooth contact with the work,
and avoid any bumping action or excessive pressure. A broken wheel may cause serious injury.
Before a grinder is put down, the throttle shall be released and the burr, wheel or other accessory shall come to a stop. Tool rests,
hangers, and balancers are recommended. An unattended rotating grinder may result in unanticipated motion resulting in serious injury.
Exposed throttles shall not be used where obstructions can hold the throttle in the "on" position. You may not be able to turn the tool
off.
On Angle Tools, whenever the Angle Head is installed or repositioned, the Throttle Lever must be positioned so that reaction torque
will not tend to retain the throttle in the "ON" position. You may not be able to turn the tool off.
