If the drill blocks, do not try to loosen it by switching the machine on and off. Switch the machine off
immediately and loosen the drill bit by turning right and left using a suitable wrench. Carefully remove the
machine from the borehole.
Take care not to cut a water-pipe or even an electric mains. In case of doubt use a line detector for
searching the drilling area.,
6. M A I N T E N A N C E
ATTENTION: Before beginning maintenance or repair remove the mains plug from the supply
socket.
Clean the machine once the drilling work has been completed. Also clean and grease the drill bit-holding
thread.
Clean the machine with a dry or moist cleaning-rag and not with a jet of water. Make sure that no water gets
into the machine or the switch box. Ensure that the ventilation slots are always clean.
Damaged cords and plugs have to be repaired or exchanged exclusively in an authorized repair station
(www.weka-elektrowerkzeuge.de).
6.1 Service menu
For service purposes, the service menu provides a lot of information, which is described in detail in the repair
manual.
Here, only the function of the resetable service hour counter is explained.
To access the service menu, please press the

As in the case of the decimal number system, these LEDs reproduce the three digits 1 - 10 - 100. Simply
count the blinking intervals of the individual digits and then line them together.
For example: If the first digit flashes once until the break, the second three times, and the third digit six times
until the break, then read 136 h.

Pressing the button for at least 5 seconds will reset the operating hours counter to zero.
Note for service interval
The machine has a service interval of 300 hours. If this time is exceeded, the button
times before the machine starts. The machine should then be brought to the service.
6.2 Oil bath gear
The gear oil should be changed after the first 100 hours of operation. Ensure that this work is carried out in
a specialist workshop, or demand on the appropriate technical documents for this work.
ATTENTION: If gear oil escapes, stop the machine immediately. Lack of oil will damage the gear.
7. G U A R A N T E E
We will guarantee the WEKA core drilling machine for 12 months from the day of delivery. During this period
we will rectify material and production defects free of charge. This warranty does not cover normal wear and
tear, overloading, non-compliance with the operating instructions and intervention by unauthorized persons
or the use of parts from other companies.
