2.5 Starting/stopping the cordless
shears [Fig. O1/O5]

Risk of injury if the product does not stop
when the start lever is released.
Æ Do not bypass the safety device or switches.
Æ For example, do not attach the start lever to
the handle.
Æ Do not make any changes to the product
that are not described in this manual.
2.5.1 Starting the cordless shears
The product is equipped with a two-handed safety
device (start lever and safety lock) to prevent the
product from being turned on by accident.
1. Insert the battery

until you hear it engage.

2. Remove the protective cover (3) from the
blade (4).
3. Push the safety lock (5) forwards and pull the
start lever (6) toward the handle (7).
The cordless shears start.
2.5.2 Stopping the cordless shears
1. Release the start lever (6).
The cordless shears stop.
2. Wait until the blade is at a standstill.
3. Slide the protective cover (3) over the blade (4).
4. Remove the battery (B).
