6. ASSEMBLY
Only insert the rechargeable battery once the
device is completely assembled. If the device
is switched on accidentally, there is a danger
of injury.
1) Fitting the auxiliary handle
(See Fig. A)
The angle grinder must not be used without the
auxiliary handle (1).
The auxiliary handle can be secured in any of three
positions (A, B, C).
Caution

2) Replacing and adjusting the guard
REPLACING
Open the clamp lever (11) on the guard (6).
Turn the guard (6) through 180° in clockwise direction
so that the guard points upwards (See Fig. B).
Remove the guard (6).
TO MOUNT: Reverse procedure.
ADJUSTING
Adjust the guard (6) to protect your hands so that the
material being ground is directed away from your body
(see Fig. C).
The position of the guard (6) can be adjusted to any
specific working conditions. Undo the clamp
lever (11) and turn the cover (6) into the required
position.
Ensure that the guard (6) correctly covers the gear
wheel casing.
Secure the clamp lever (11) again.
Ensure that the guard (6) is secure.
Take care that the safety device is secure.
Never use the angle grinder without the guard.
3) Test run for new grinding Wheels
Allow the right-angle grinder to run in idle for at least 1
minute with the grinding or cutting wheel fitted in place.
Vibrating wheels are to be replaced immediately.

7. OPERATION
1) Charging the battery pack
CAUTION! Risk of injury! Comply with all
safety instructions when handling recharge-
able devices.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit! Do not
allow the battery pack to deep discharge.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit! Do not
press the On/Off switch after the device has
deactivated automatically.
Note: The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting the
lifetime of the unit. Interrupting the charging
process will not damage the battery pack.
Note: If the battery is fully loaded, the charger
automatically switches over to the mainte-
nance charge function. The battery can thus
remain in the charger permanently.
The battery pack must be charged prior to the first
start-up. (charging time: around 120 minutes.)
Press the battery pack release button (4) and
remove the battery from the device.(See Fig. D&E)
Insert the battery pack into the charger (See Fig. F).
Plug the charger into the power supply.
The charging status is displayed by the control lights
(15). (more information
Slot the battery pack into the device and make sure
it clicks into place correctly. (See Fig. G&H)
Checking the remaining capacity of the battery
Press the battery capacity indicator switch button
(14).
The remaining capacity of the battery is displayed
by the 4LED control lights (13) .Battery capacity
indicator as below:
All 4 LEDs are lit:
The battery is fully charged.
3 or 2 or 1 LED(s) are lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED blinks:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
