remote control comes with 3 memory buttons to store your own
customised output settings.
K. To fine-tune the UVA, UVB and Bright White LED settings, simply
press any of the UVA, UVB or W "+ or -" buttons to adjust the
specific output. Each LED group can be increased or decreased
in output strength or even shut off completely by using the +
or - color buttons to create the perfect light spectrum for your
application.
L. Once you are satisfied with the result of your customised
UVA, UVB and Bright White setting: press and hold any of the 3
customisable preset buttons (S1-S2-S3) for 4 seconds to store
your customised setting. The TerraSky UV will flash once, once the
setting is stored. Repeat as desired until all 3 customisable preset
buttons have been programmed.
M. The 2 regular Moonlight buttons (not in the Seasonal Cycle
section) allow you to activate the New Moon or First & Third
Quarter Moon light setting, depending on your preference.
N. The 3 Sunlight buttons will adjust the current Sunlight to
Sunrise & Sunset, Early & Late Noon and High Noon with the
simple push of a button.
O. The Biofluorescence button will make your plants, mushrooms,
invertebrates, reptiles or amphibians that have biofluorescent
properties, glow up at night.
REMEMBER: Pressing the UVA, UVB or W button will shut down all
other LED channels. If you want to adjust only 1 LED channel, use
the respective "+" and "-" buttons.
Using the Seasonal Cycle buttons
The convenient preset timer settings of 8, 12, and 14 hours make

it easy to automatically adjust the daytime duration and output
strength of the Bright White LEDs, UVA and UVB to mimic the
seasonal cycles:
Spring & Autumn Setting (12 hour cycle)
Sunrise: Bright White LEDs will slowly increase power from 0%-
100% in a 1 hour timespan
After 1 hour: UVA LEDs & UVB LEDs increase power to 100% over a
1 hour timespan
After 9 hours: UVB LEDs decreases power to 0% & UVA LEDs
decrease power to the % of the selected "nighttime setting" over a
1 hour timespan
Sunset after 11 hours: Bright White LEDs slowly decrease power
from 100% to the selected "nighttime setting" over a 1 hour
timespan
Summer Setting (14 hour cycle)
Sunrise: Bright White LEDs slowly increase power from 0%-100% in
a 1 hour timespan
After 1 hour: UVA LEDs & UVB LEDs increase power to 100% over a
1 hour timespan
After 11 hours: UVB LEDs decreases power to 0% & UVA LEDs
decrease power to the % of the selected "nighttime setting" over a
1 hour timespan
Sunset after 13 hours: Bright White LEDs slowly decrease power
from 100% to the selected "nighttime setting" over a 1 hour
timespan
Hibernation Setting (8 hour cycle)
Sunrise: Bright White LEDs slowly increase power from 0%-100% in
a 1 hour timespan
After 1 hour: UVA LEDs & UVB LEDs increase power to 100% over a
1 hour timespan
After 6 hours: UVB LEDs decreases power to 0% & UVA LEDs
decrease power to the % of the selected "nighttime setting" over a
1 hour timespan
Sunset after 7 hours: Bright White LEDs slowly decrease power from
100% to the selected "nighttime setting" over a 1 hour timespan
1. To start a Seasonal Cycle, simply press the ON button to power
the TerraSky UV. The TerraSky UV will light up in the initial setting
(all LED channels to 100%) in case the device has never been
powered before, or light up in the last selected setting.
2. If you want to set the Seasonal Cycle starting at (for instance)
9:00 AM, press the Seasonal Cycle button of your choice at
9:00 AM until the TerraSky UV LEDs power off very briefly, after
which the LEDs dimly light up again, meaning the timer setting
has started. The TerraSky UV will now automatically follow the
selected setting until the program is stopped by pressing the
ON/OFF button.
3. When using the seasonal cycle timer, there's 2 different Seasonal
Cycle "nighttime settings" to choose from that will not interrupt
the timer function; the New Moon or the First & Third Quarter
nighttime setting. The standard "nighttime setting" in the
Seasonal Cycles is the New Moon setting.
4. If a somewhat higher light output is desired for the nighttime
setting, simply press the First & Third Quarter button, and the
light output will increase. From that moment on, the "nighttime
setting" will proceed in the First & Third Quarter setting every
following night, until the New Moon button is pressed. Once the
New Moon button is pressed, the TerraSky UV will once again
use that setting on a daily basis.
REMEMBER: When using the Seasonal Cycles timer, only the 2
"nighttime settings" can be individually adjusted! All regular buttons
will remain unresponsive when pressed. Pressing the ON/OFF button
will terminate the Seasonal Cycle Settings. When you press the ON/
OFF button again, the TerraSky UV will relight the LED channels
according to the last used setting and the seasonal cycle setting will
no longer apply.
Change the Remote's Batteries
The battery compartment is located on the back of the remote
control and can be opened by squeezing and holding the "release
tab" while gently opening the battery cover. Remove the empty
batteries and replace with 2 AAA Alkaline batteries. Gently click the
battery cover back into the slot.
MAINTENANCE
No special maintenance is required for the TerraSky UV, other than a
periodic cleaning with a damp cloth to remove any dust or mineral
deposits that may collect over time. Unplug the transformer prior to
cleaning the light fixture and remove it from the terrarium. Do not
use detergents or harsh cleaners as it can damage the light fixture.
Make sure all surfaces are dry before re-connecting the transformer
to the power source.
