SAFETY
TOOLS AND MATERIALS:
Although all pieces of wood have been sanded during production, wood splinters can always
occur. Therefore, be careful when handling the pieces of wood. Always wear gloves, safety
goggles and long sleeves during installation or maintenance. Use caution when using hand or
power tools. Do not assemble the garden office if any parts are missing. Damage that would
result from a lengthy assembly process will not be accepted by the company.
WORKING ON A LADDER OR ROOF:
Use caution when climbing a ladder or roof. Make sure the ladder is on a stable surface and resting
on a solid support. Don't leave heavy or sharp objects in places where they can potentially fall off.
WEATHER CONDITIONS:
Do not enter the lodge when it is windy or raining.
CHILDREN:
Keep children away from the work area and from ladders, tools and other parts of the product.
Do not allow them to climb on the garden office.
MAINTENANCE
RENOVATION/MAINTENANCE:
Wood impregnation will extend the life of the garden office. Just as with your home, wood
staining is very important for your garden office. All wooden elements require maintenance. In
the long run, good maintenance will ensure greater comfort of use.
We recommend the following course of action: Maintenance should be carried out before the
old layer of paint or stain is completely removed. Depending on the condition of the surface,
one or two coats of paint or stain should be applied. Before doing so, sand the boards to remove
residues of previous coats.
ROOFING - SHINGLES/ BITUMEN FELT:
Do not walk on shingles/bitumen felt during sunny periods, hot weather, etc. to avoid leaving
footprints. Bitumen felt is not a permanent roofing material, but a roof underlayment that
requires a second, permanent covering, such as shingles or tiles. For a flat roof, we recommend
to cover it with an additional EPDM tarpaulin in order to prevent water penetration and ensure a
perfect sealing.
ROOF LOAD:
Remove snow and leaves from the roof. A large amount of snow on the roof can be a source of
danger to you due to the risk of collapse.
