· Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area. Do not let them handle machines, tools,
or extension cords.
· Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always lock up tools
and keep out of reach of children.
· Do not force tool. It will do the job better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended. Do not use ina-
ppropriate attachments in an attempt to exceed the tool capacity.
· Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger industrial
tool. There are certain applications for which this tool was designed. Do not modify this tool and do not use this tool
for a purpose for which it was not intended.
· Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts. Protective, electrica-
lly non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear restrictive hair covering

· Use eye and ear protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles. Wear a full face shield if you
are producing metal fillings or wood clips. Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when working around
metal, wood, and chemical dusts and mists.
· Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Do no reach over or across running machines.
· Maintain tools with care. Keep tools clean for better and safer performance. Follow instructions for lubricating
and changing accessories.
· Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not operate any tool when you are tired.
· Check for damaged parts. Before using any tool, any part that appears damaged should be carefully checked to
determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment and binding of moving
parts; any broken parts or mounting fixtures; and any other condition that may affect proper operation, Any part
that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
· Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts. Use of any other
parts will void the warranty.
· Do not operate this tool if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on prescriptions to deter-
mine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not attempt to operate.
· Maintenance. For your safety, maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified technician.
· Never exceed 12 Ton limit of Jack; Jack may be damaged or fail.
OPERATION
Note: This pipe bender is designed to bend water pipe rigid conduit, heavy gauge
galvanized pipe used in commercial applications, and other similar types of pipe. When
bending thin walled pipe or conduit, fill the pipe with sand and cap the ends before bending.
Set Up.
· Place the Pipe Bender on a solid ,flat, level workbench. Pipe Bender must always be clamped or bolted down
to the workbench.
· Select the Bending Die that matches the size of the pipe you want to bend. NOTE: This Pipe Bender includes
1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2"and 2" bending dies. When choosing a die, select the same size die as the diameter of
the pipe you are bending.
· Place the Bending Die onto the jack and make sure it is seated properly.
· Depending on the size of the pipe you wish to bend, the Rollers might need adjustment.
· Remove the Hitch Pins. Set Aside.
· Individually, remove a Roller Shaft and mover the Rollers to the desired hole in the Frame, Repeat on other side.
· One at a time, fully slide the Roller Shaft through the holes in the Frame and the Rollers. Repeat on other side.
· Insert both of the Hitch Pins through the Roller Shafts.
· Slide the pipe you want to bend, through the pipe bender on top of the Bending Die. Make sure the top of pipe
rests against the bottom of the Rollers
· Using the slotted end of the Handle, tighten the bottle jack Release Valve by turning it clockwise.
· Insert the Handle into the Bottle Jack. Crank it up and down to raise the Jack and bend the pipe.
WARNING: Do not place hands or fingers near the die area while the unit is in use.
· After bending the pipe to the desired angle, remove the Handle from the Bottle Jack and loosen the Release Val-
ve by turning it counterclockwise. The ram of the bottle jack will lower. The pipe will release from the Pipe Bender.
Carefully remove the pipe.
MAINTENANCE
Note: The 12Ton Bottle Jack should last for several years of use. The only parts that eventually wear out are the
seals. If you notice hydraulic fluid leaking from the telescoping shaft (Ram) of Jack, you need to install a Seal Kit.
· Clean the unit as needed. Make sure the ram face on the 12 Ton Bottle Jack is clean and free of oil, grease, dirt,
and debris.
