The range of UV-C Clarifi ers has been designed for easy and practical use in aquariums and ponds. In

aquariums, UV-C radiation damages the cell membrane of unwanted organisms (algae and pathogens) which
are then eliminated by the clarifi ers. The clarifi er provides an important contribution to the treatment against
parasites without the use of medicines. In the case of ponds, the algae are neutralized, making the water

The water inside the clarifi er, fl ows though the UVC chamber where the UV-C lamp is
positioned.

The UV-C Clarifi ers have been designed according to the national and international safety rules. Please read
carefully the following instructions before use in order to avoid damages to persons/things.

1. IMPORTANT: always disconnect the power plug and any other appliances in use in the aquarium
or pond,

2. CAUTION: The Ultraviolet rays might be dangerous. Never look directly and touch the UV-C Lamp
when it is on. This can harm eyes and skin. To check the functioning of the lamp, use the UV-C light

indicator (A).
3. Never use the power cable to lift or move the appliance.
4. Do not use the appliance for swimming pools or other application where there might be people in the
water.
5. Do not use the appliance if the power cable or plug are damaged. If the product is damaged it must
be replaced by a specialized after sales center.
6. Keep children and disabled persons away from this appliance.
7. The electrical supply must comply with electrical data written on the label of the product.
8. If an extension lead is required, make sure it is waterproof.
9. This product has been designed to work with water at a temperature between +4° C / +39,2° F and
+35° C / 95° F.
10. If the temperature drops below 0° C / 32° F, unplug the power and completely empty the clarifi er.
During winter it is better to remove the clarifi er and store it in a sheltered place.
11. Never operate the appliance without water.
12. Never operate the appliance with liquids different from water.
13. Never connect the clarifi er to the hydraulic system.

INSTALLATION
The clarifi er can be installed both immersed in water and out of water. It makes no difference which sleeve to
use for the water inlet and outlet. Connect the hoses to the hose holders supplied. If necessary, cut the smaller
diameters of the hose holder, if they are not used, to avoid creating obstructions. Screw the hose holders to
the sterilizer, paying attention to the presence and correct positioning of the O-rings. It is advisable to limit the
fl ow of water inside the clarifi er because a slower fl ow increases exposure to UV-C rays and subsequently its
effectiveness. Position it so that the blue indicator light is visible to the user. The clarifi er contains a glass lamp
and a quartz glass tube: handle with care during installation to avoid damaging these internal components.
Connect the power cable only after completing the clarifi er installation. The bright blue light will indicate that
the UV-C lamp is working.
Never lift the clarifi er with the power cord since this will damage the cord, the UV-C clarifi er, or the pump.
