1.5 POWER TOOL USE AND CARE

Use the power tool, attachments, etc. in accordance with these instructions,
considering the working conditions and the work to be performed.Use of the power
tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

Do not use the power tool if the switch does not work properly.Any power tool that
cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
■
Turn off your power tool and remove the battery pack before making any adjustments.
This may include clearing jammed material, changing accessories, storing, or servic-
ing the appliance. Unexpected actuation of the appliance while clearing jammed
material or servicing may result in serious personal injury.

Do not allow persons unfamiliar with these instructions to operate the machine.
■
Use the harness to support the weight of the product and make it easier to handle.
■
Keep your power tool in working condition with regular maintenance. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition
that may affect the power tool's operation. Follow instructions for lubricating and chang-
ing accessories. Inspect the tool periodically, and if damaged, have it repaired by an
authorized service facility. Keep handles dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.

Always hold the power head with one hand on the rear handle and the other hand
on the front handle.

Do not use solvents or cleaning fluids to clean your product.Use a blunt scraper to
remove grass and dirt.

Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean, and free from oil and grease.Slip-
pery handles and grasping surfaces do not allow for safe handling and control of the
tool in unexpected situations.

Store idle tools indoors. When not in use, appliances should be stored indoors in dry, and
high or locked-up places – out of reach of children.

1.6 SERVICE

Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical
replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be
performed by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.

Never open the battery charger yourself. Have repairs performed only by a qualified
technician and only using original spare parts. Damaged battery chargers, cables, and
plugs increase the risk of an electric shock.
The intended use is described in this manual. The use of any accessory, attach-
ment, or performance of any operation with this appliance other than those
recommended in this instruction manual can present a risk of personal injury
and/or damage to property. The operator or user is responsible for all accidents
and/or hazards occurring to other people or their property.
