Electrical safety instructions
• The device must be supplied via a residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual
current of no more than 30 mA (according to VDE 0100 parts 702 and 738). If you
are not sure whether there is an RCD in the installation, we recommend using a PRCD-
S intermediate switch (ask your electrician).
• Before putting the device into operation, have it checked by an expert whether the
- earthing - zeroing - residual current circuit conforms to the safety regulations of the
power supply companies and is functioning properly.
• The electrical plug connections must be protected from moisture.
• The house mains voltage must correspond to the mains voltage specifications in the
technical data, do not use any other supply voltage.
• Damaged or broken extension cables must not be used. Check the condition of your
extension cable before each use.
• Only use extension cables that are intended for outdoor use - minimum cross-section
1.5 mm².
• If the mains supply cable needs to be extended, only use a cable type H07RN-F and
a grouted sleeve. This work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
• If there is a risk of flooding, fit the plug connections in the flood-proof area.
Always pull out the mains plug before:
◊ Relocation and transport.
◊ Cleaning, maintenance and repair work.
◊ Elimination of malfunctions.
◊ Check the connecting cables for intricate or damage.
◊ Exit (even during short interruptions).
