Magma Chainsaw E-100 / E-150 LM 21 V
Please check that the chainsaw and batteries are clean and dry.
Insert the battery in the chainsaw itself by sliding it downwards: if positioned correctly, you
hear a "click". To remove the battery from the chainsaw, press the two side buttons and slide
upwards.
Disconnect the power supply before the following operations:
Fitting the chain and bar
1.
Turn off the chainsaw and disconnect the battery.
2.
Rotate the pinion cover quick release handle „1" anticlockwise until the pinion cover „2"
can be removed.
3.
Remove the pinion cover „2"
4.
Adjust the tension adjustment screw „3", place the bar on the chainsaw „4" and insert the
bar fixing column „5" into the fixing hole „6" on the bar.
Note: You can use the front and back of the „7" guide and the marked one can be on the
front or back.
5.
Insert the chain into the groove of the bar and refer to the arrow on the pinion cover for the
direction of the blade edge.
6.
Cover the pinion cover and lock by turning the handle clockwise.
Removing the chain and bar
1.
Rotate the nut „1" anticlockwise until the pinion cover „2" can be removed.
2.
Remove the pinion cover.
3.
Adjust the tension adjustment screw „3" to loosen the chain.
4.
Remove the chain and the bar.

Chain tension
The chain may loosen when the chainsaw is working. If necessary, adjust the chain tension
according to the operating specifications.
1.
Turn off the chainsaw and disconnect the power supply.
2.
Rotate the handle „1" anticlockwise to loosen it.
3.
Adjust the tension adjustment screw „3"
a. The teeth of the chain drive are close to the bottom of the groove of the bar.
The chain can be easily pulled along the groove of the bar.
4.
If you use a carving bar: adjust the chain tension and pull the chain by hand, you can see
that half of the guide teeth are out of the bar groove.
5.
If the chain cannot be moved by hand: loosen the pinion cover nut and knob and adjust the
tension bolt until the chain can be easily pulled along the groove of the bar.
6.
Tighten the pinion cover.
