Low Voltage Warning
When voltage of either battery reaches 30.0V
lights will automatically flash in a strobe rate pattern to
indicate low voltage. The strobe rate pattern correlates with
battery voltage, as noted below:

To protect the batteries, the fan will shut down once under-
voltage lockout (UVLO) level is reached.
Transport/Storage Mode
Transport/Storage Mode starts by pressing and holding
both push buttons simultaneously for 8 seconds. Once in
Transport Mode the fan speed will change to 2200 RPM.
Transport Mode will shut off once the bus level reaches
32 V
. Turning the fan off will stop and exit the

Transport/Storage Mode procedure.
Transport/Storage Mode makes it easy to comply with
storage recommendations from: Lithium-ion cell
manufacturers recommend that battery cells be stored at
30% state of charge (SoC) for best long-term health and
stability. Further, IATA (International Air Transport
Association) Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) state that
all lithium-ion batteries must not exceed 30% SoC at time of
shipment. Check with your local ordinances.
AC Operation
Refer to Figure 1 on previous page for the following
instructions. Remove the AC power cord adapter from its
holder and connect to fan and then to AC source. The fan
end of the cord has a watertight connector with a special
locking mechanism which snaps into place when the plug is
aligned and pushed into place. To remove, DO NOT PULL
PLUG, without first pulling back on the blue sleeve on the
plug, and then pulling the plug from the receptacle. Use
only grounded cords and power receptacles. The low
battery voltage warning is inhibited when plugged into AC.
Immediately on plug-in, the Status LED will turn green. Start
fan by turning RIGHT knob CW until desired speed, 11 clicks
to full, OR PUSH and HOLD RIGHT knob and fan advances
to MAX speed, Status LED flashes WHITE. Turn knob to
adjust. PUSH and HOLD LEFT knob to STOP fan. Rotating
the LEFT knob CW direction will control the scene lights

Hot swapping
While running on batteries, only one battery is required to
run the fan. AC power can be plugged in while the unit is
running on batteries and will continue fan operation
indefinitely. The fan will run on AC power without batteries
installed.
Maintenance and Care
VERIFY FAN IS UNPLUGGED FROM AC POWER AND
BATTERIES ARE REMOVED BEFORE CONTINUING.
Disassembly of the fan is not necessary for maintenance.
Do not loosen or tighten screws on control panel or
heatsink. Battery life for Li-ion is about 500 cycles. This
could be several years depending on frequency of use.
Periodically check for loose fasteners, particularly around
fan guards and shroud, retighten as necessary. Replace any
damaged cables or cords. Clean with cleaning compounds
that remove build ups from operation when necessary.
Troubleshooting
Problems do occur. If the fan is not operating properly,
making unusual sounds or vibrations, or the Status LED is
RED, contact customer support.
