Do not connect the clamp to fuel lines, injectors,
carburetors,
or
components.
Make sure that cables are positioned away from
all moving parts (such as fan blades, drive belts,
etc.) of engine.
9. Try to start engine of vehicle with discharged battery. If
engine does not start immediately, discontinue
cranking to avoid draining booster battery.
10. Start engine of vehicle with booster battery and run at
high idle speed. Start engine of vehicle with discharged
battery. If engine will not start after 15 seconds of
cranking, discontinue cranking to avoid damaging
starting motor. Allow starting motor to cool down for at
least two minutes before attempting to start engine
again.
11. After engine of vehicle with discharged battery is
running. remove negative cable clamp from engine
block or chassis ground.
12. Remove negative cable clamp from battery of booster
vehicle.
13. Remove positive cable clamp from battery terminal of
vehicle with discharged battery.
14. Remove positive cable clamp from battery of booster
vehicle.

Maintenance
Service
Service of a battery booster cable requires extreme care
and knowledge. Service should be performed only by a
qualified service technician.
• Always check cables for damage before use.
• Have damaged cables properly repaired or replaced by an
Authorized Service Center.
• Maintain cables. Keep cables dry, clean and free of oil and
grease.
