Blades
The shredder blades are tempered, which extends their cutting life.
Blade sharpening
Sharpen the blades when you notice that the cutting edge is worn and
replace them when they no longer allow sharpening. Sharpen only the
indicated side of the blade, trying to maintain the original inclination [Fig. 23].
Remove the same amount of material from each blade, so as not to harm the
balance of the shaft set and consequently cause vibrations.
Moveable hammers (TRC40 model)
The moveable hammers of the shredder have 4 usable toothed faces [Fig. 24]. Change the position
of use whenever you notice wear, and replace the hammers when all 4 faces are worn. To reverse the
side of use, remove the cotter pins from the axles (04) and remove the axles (05) through the green
product chute. Once this is done, change the side where the hammers are used [Fig. 25]. Whenever
you remove any of the cotter pins (04), do not reuse them and replace them with new cotter pins to
avoid accidents.
