One advantage is that you can also cut food
on the stone plate 1. You only need to avoid
dropping it. This can cause it to break.
Always allow the stone plate 1 to cool down
well after barbecuing, before removing it
from the grill and cleaning it. Because of its
good heat storage properties, this takes ap-
prox. 45 minutes. Allowing it to cool is not
only important to avoid burns. The stone
plate 1 can develop cracks if placed in dish-
water while still hot.
The hot stone is a natural product and can
change colour as a result of contact with the
barbecued food. This is normal, and does
not affect its function or the taste of the bar-
becued food.
6. How to use
FIRE HAZARD!
Place the device on a dry, level, non-slip
and heat-resistant surface.
The device must not be operated close
to flammable liquids or materials, or in
a potentially explosive environment.
Keep at a distance of at least 30 cm
from walls.
NOTE: when in operation for the first time,
some smoke and odour may be generated
by the device. This is related to materials
used on the heating elements during assem-
bly, and is not a defect with the device. En-
sure adequate ventilation.
• Remove all packing material.
• Check to ensure that all parts are pres-
ent and undamaged.
• Clean the device prior to its first
use!

on the device.
The integrated control light will then be
lit and the device heats up.
6. Leave the device switched on for ap-

the device off again. The integrated
control light goes off.

device to cool.
9. Clean the device again.
7. Operation
DANGER! Risk of injury
through burning!
The metal surfaces, heating element 7
and stone plate 1 become very hot dur-
ing operation. During operation, only
touch the handles and control elements
of the device.
7.1 Preparing device,
switching on and off
1. Choose a location that is firm, level and
non-combustible. Keep a distance of ap-
prox. 30 cm from other objects. The sur-
face on which the device is placed
should not be sensitive to splashes of
oil.
2. Figure A: place the stone plate 1 on
the two struts 9.
3. Oil the inside of the raclette pans 6 and
