Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING – RISK OF FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK!
• Before cleaning, always unplug the unit from the mains
socket and allow it to cool down completely.
• Never immerse the main unit, power cord or plug in
water or any other liquid. Never rinse them under the
tap.
NOTE: Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning
products, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads
to clean the unit.
• Clean the unit after each use to prevent grease and food residue
from accumulating and ensure good hygiene.
• Drip tray: Remove the drip tray. Dispose of the oil in an
environmentally friendly manner. Wash the drip tray in warm
soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. The drip tray is dishwasher
safe. When cleaning, make sure the drip tray does not come
into contact with sharp objects that may scratch or damage
the surface.
• Grill plate area / splash guard: Use a soft, damp cloth with
mild soap detergent solution to remove food residue. To clean
stubborn food residue, let a small amount of warm, mild
detergent solution soak into the stain and then wipe off.
• Exterior of the unit: Clean with a slightly damp cloth. Clean
the drip tray housing and if necessary, wipe the power cord to
clean off any grease that may have splashed onto it.
• Dry all parts thoroughly.
