3. Connect Light Cable to Power Supply Cable
• With power off, strip 1/2 inch (12 mm) of the plastic
insulation off the end of each light wire .
• Cut power supply cable and strip 1/2 inch (12 mm) from
each wire .
• Place one wire from each end of the power supply cable
together with one of the light wires . (It does not matter
which power supply wire is connected to which light wire,
as light cable is not polarized .) The ends of insulation
should be even .
• Repeat the above steps with the remaining wires
(1 wire from each end of the power supply cable and the
remaining light wire) .
See Figure 3.
Note: Each lighting station should have its own power supply cable.
Power cable should be 12G-16G outdoor landscape lighting wire
rated for direct burial. For supply connections use wire rated for
at least 90ºC (194º F).
WARNING:
• Direct burial power supply cable to be buried approximately
6 inches (152 mm) beneath the ground surface.
• Not suitable for use with submersible luminares or
submersible pump.

Important: The wire can be buried in the ground unprotected; however,
for more protection, wires can be pulled through PVC pipe and buried
underground. Be careful to avoid burying the wires in locations where
they could be damaged by digging or trenching in the future.
Connect Power Cables to Terminals
Note: The common wires for all the lighting stations should
be connected to their own individual common terminal. To
avoid electrical hazards, only one lighting station should be
connected to each wiring station terminal.
See Figure 4.

Wiring Lighting Stations
• Strip 1/2 inch (12 mm) of plastic insulation off the
remaining ends of each individual wire .
• Each power cable has two wires . One wire (it doesn't
matter which one) is to be connected into a common
(COM) terminal .
• Connect the remaining wire to the specific station
terminal that will control that lighting station .
