CUTTING HEAD POSITIONING
The cutting head on the saw is shipped preset in position for cutting tiles 24" or
smaller, which should be suitable for most applications.

24" POSITION
SAW OPERATION / MOTOR SPEEDS
The Q.E.P. #60020 Tile Saw has (2) motor speeds: 1750 & 2450 RPM to enable the operator to cut or profile various
materials at the speed that is best suited for the application. Please see page 8 for changing motor speeds and see below
for recommended speeds for different blade sizes.
The saw is easy to operate, but for safety reasons, read all of this manual before turning the unit on. The power knob and
overload-reset button are located on the power-reset housing the front top of the saw.
CUTTING DEPTH
1. The recommended cutting depth for all materials is
Y" below the top surface of the cutting table. (See
Diagram)
2. To adjust cutting depth, loosen mounting
plate
adjustment knob, set the blade height and tighten
the adjustment knob securely.

BLADE CUTTING SPEEDS & DEPTHS
The saw is shipped in the low-speed position (1750
- RPM). It is recommended that the operator use this
speed for most applications. The high speed (2450 RPM)
is best for cutting softer ceramic tile, especially when
cutting a lot of the same material over a long period of
time. It is also recommended that the low speed be used
for profile wheels (see page 8 for changing speeds).
These recommended guidelines are based on 6", 7", 8"
and 10" QEP tile saw blades. The saw comes standard
with a 10" QEP #6-1003CRContinuous-Rim Diamond Blade.
Recommended cutting depths are approximate and may
vary, depending on the brand of saw or blade.
