Pairing with a Playback Device
Before using your earisMAX for the first time, we recommend pairing it with your
mobile phone or another device via Bluetooth®. The exact procedure for pairing
may vary depending on your playback device. We recommend consulting the user
manual of your playback device for the correct pairing steps.
Bluetooth® Classic
If no connection is found after turning on the earisMAX, it will automatically switch
to pairing mode after a few seconds. The Status LED (3) will blink alternately white
and orange (announcement: Pairing).
If you want to connect earisMAX to another device, press the Function Button (2)
for 5 seconds until the announcement „disconnected" is made, followed by „pairing."
The Status LED (3) will blink alternately white and orange. Earis MAX is now ready
to pair.
Turn on the Bluetooth® function on your playback device and search for available
devices if necessary.
In the Bluetooth® settings of your playback device, please select „earisMAX" from
the list of available devices and connect both devices. The Status LED (3) will blink
regularly white (announcement: „Connected"). Automatic connection of both devices
will occur during future power-ups.
Auracast
If you turn on the earisMAX and no connection is found, it will automatically switch to
pairing mode after a few seconds. The Status LED (3) will blink alternately white and
orange (announcement: „Pairing"). If an Auracast channel is nearby, earisMAX will
automatically connect to that channel. The Status LED (3) will blink regularly white.
Once earisMAX is connected to your smartphone, you can select and play the
desired Auracast channel using the earisMAX app. The Status LED (3) will blink
regularly white.
