7.1 Cleaning of ashes
Cleaning the crucible
Check the crucible regularly before using it. Make sure the air duct is free of ash, soot or slag. The crucible
must be correctly placed in the fireplace.
When the burner has cooled to room temperature and there is no more flame, the vacuum cleaner can be
used to clean the ash.

Cleaning the base of the crucible holder
Each time you clean the crucible, check that the base underneath does not contain too much ash. If the
amount of ash is too large, the amount of oxygen in the chamber will decrease, which will lead to poor
combustion. Clean the base using a metal-tank vacuum cleaner.

Warning! A vacuum cleaner can only be used to clean the ash when it has cooled to room temperature and
there are no more flying embers.

Every 2 or 3 days, check the ash in the ash box and remove it.
