INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
CAUTION: When opening and closing the clamps, do not place hands or other body parts between the jaw and the knurled plate.
CAUTION: Ensure that the contact surfaces are clean and free of substances such as dirt, dust, oil, grease, paint, ice, moisture,
etc., which could reduce the coefficient of friction between the parts, resulting in a decrease in clamping force and possible slipping.
ATTENTION: with reference to the minimum working load, consider that in the 180° rotation/tilting operation of a plate, as long
as one end of the load is on the ground, while the load is rotated from horizontal to vertical, the accessory will only bear a part
of the load (fig.7)
CAUTION: detach from the ground very slowly in order to avoid abrupt rotations of the load and the clamps themselves due to
a possible misalignment of the load's centre of gravity with respect to the lifting vertical.
Should the load rotate during lifting, it must be lowered again and the clamps repositioned correctly.
ATTENTION: In the case of angled pulls, the working load must be reduced according to the diagram in Fig. 9.
When lifting a metal sheet from the ground, always use no. 2 clamps with a two-leg lifting sling or no. 2 clamps with single legs
and a sling bar (Fig. 10) to limit the rotations when detaching. When using two clamps with a two-leg sling, the maximum permitted
angle between the arms is 30°. Furthermore, it is preferable to avoid the situation shown in fig. 10a.
ATTENTION: This type of accessory only allows the gripping of sheets in a horizontal position for rotation / tilting without
detachment from the ground; subsequent lifting and transport is only permitted in vertical mode.
For lifting and transporting sheets horizontally, it is necessary to use accessory models designed for this purpose.
CAUTION: Do not attempt to open the knurled jaw or handle it when the load is applied.
CAUTION: When taking the accessory out of service, it must be ensured that no loads are applied. The knurled cam can
be opened by the operating lever only when the load has been supported and secured.
CAUTION: Bear in mind that as the thickness of the load decreases, so does its weight.
