The Compex Edge should not be used adjacent to or stacked with
other equipment, and if adjacent or stacked use is necessary, the unit
should be observed to verify normal operation in the configuration
in which it will be used.
Use only accessories that are specially designed for the Compex
Edge. Do not use accessories manufactured by other companies on
the Edge. DJO, LLC is not responsible for any consequence resulting
from using products manufactured by other companies. The use
of other accessories or cables may result in increased emissions or
decreased immunity of the Edge.
Long term effects of chronic electrical stimulation are unknown.
Safe use of electrotherapy during pregnancy has not been
established.
Stimulation should not be applied over the anterior neck or mouth.
Severe spasm of the laryngeal and pharyngeal muscles may occur
and the contractions may be strong enough to close the airway or
cause difficulty in breathing.
Stimulation should not be applied transthoracically in that the
introduction of electrical current into the heart may cause cardiac
arrhythmia.
Stimulation should not be applied over swollen, infected, and
inflamed areas or skin eruptions, e.g., phlebitis, thrombophlebitis,
varicose veins, etc.
The user must keep the device out of the reach of children.
Do not disconnect any stimulation cables during a session while the
stimulator is switched on. Switch the stimulator off first.
Never connect stimulation cables to an external power supply. There
is a risk of electric shock.
Never recharge the stimulator without first disconnecting the
stimulation cables.
