Safety lanyard is designed to work positioning and restraint provide protection against falling and the dangers resulting from
falling down. Only the manufacturer can make repairs to equipment.
Always remember that no item of PPE can provide full protection and care must always be taken while carrying out the
risk-relation activity.
USAGE:
A-Anchor Point
a) Work Restraint
1. The one end of the lanyard is connected to the anchor point, and another end is connected to harness or waist belt.
2. Adjust the length of the lanyard to a maximum length of 0.6m by adjustment device, achieve the restraint. (Figure a)
3. Attach the connector to the waist point, pass the lanyard around the work post, and connect to the other side of the waist,
achieve the work positioning. (Figure b)
Safety lanyard is mainly made by polyester rope/webbing.
• All personal protection equipment should be purchased in a new and unused condition.
• Select and install fall arrest systems under the supervision of a competent person. Fall arrest systems must be used in a compliant
manner.
• Safety lanyard is designed for a personal issue item. Safety lanyard must be used with harness/waist belt.
• Safety lanyard is not intended for fall arrest unless fitted with an energy absorber confirming to EN 355:2002 and the overall length
must not exceed 2 m.
• User should reduce the amount of slack in the lanyard as possible near the fall hazards.
• User should not move into the fall hazard area when adjusting the length of lanyard in case of fall risk.
• Striking objects horizontally due to the pendulum effect of a swing fall may cause serious injury or death.
• Allowable range of individual worker weight limit (including all equipment) is 100 kg. Unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Snap hooks, carabiners, and other connectors must be selected and applied in a compatible fashion. All risk of disengagement
must be eliminated. All snap hooks and carabiners must be self- closing and must never be connected to each other.
• If the connector on the lanyard is manual locking gate, that is only be used where the user does not have to attach and remove
frequently, e.g. five times during a working day.
• Avoid to the following situations that may reduce the strength of the connector: Connecting to wide straps - width greater than 60
mm,
• Low temperature conditions - temperature below - 40℃
• Consult a doctor if there is any reason to doubt a user 's ability to set up the equipment or withstand and safely absorb fall
arrest forces.
