slow down brake function (continued)
ADJUSTING THE SLOW DOWN FUNCTION:
To adjust the slow down brake, push both brake levers
into slow down function and loosen the locking wheel
before adjusting the thumbwheel. Turn the locking
wheel counterclockwise to unlock the adjustment
(figure 14). Turn the adjustment wheel counterclockwise
to increase the resistance and clockwise to decrease
the resistance (figure 15). Make the same adjustment
on both sides to ensure that the resistance is balanced.
Push the rollator forward to test the resistance
and adjust further if required. Once the preferred
resistance has been reached, turn the locking wheel
clockwise to lock the adjustment (figure 16). When the locking wheel is tightened no
adjustment to the braking functions can be made. The locking wheel prevents any
unintended or accidental adjustment.
14
Note: If the adjustment wheel is moving downwards, the slow down brake will
provide more resistance. If the adjustment wheel is moving upwards, there will be
less resistance.

DISENGAGING THE SLOW DOWN FUNCTION:
To disengage the slow down brake, pull both brake
levers upward one position from the slow down
position into the free-rolling position (figure 17).
*Note: Any adjustments made to the slow down
brake will apply to the standard brake.
