ELECTRICAL HAZARD
• This unit contains two 6 volt batteries.
• Batteries can fall out and injure a child if the vehicle tips over. Always make sure seat
covering battery compartment is securely fastened.
• Prevent Fire or Explosion:
- Never modify the electrical system.
- Do not short circuit the batteries.
- Use the proper type of battery and charger. Contact Step2 consumer service at
1-800-347-8372 for proper replacement parts.
- The charger is not a toy.
- Never use components from this vehicle on another vehicle.
• Only adults should handle and charge the batteries. Battery is heavy. If dropped, the
battery could result in serious injury. The battery contains lead acid (electrolyte).
• Never allow child to charge battery. Adults must be the only ones to charge battery.
Never charge vehicle in a wet area.
• Never lift or carry a battery by the wires or connectors. This can damage the battery and
possibly cause a fire resulting in serious injury. Lift and carry the battery by the case only.
Read safety instructions on the battery.
• Examine the battery, charger and all connections for excessive wear or damage before
and after each use and when charging the battery.
To minimize risks posed by drill shavings, screws are designed to pierce the plastic and form their own
threads. Use caution not to over-tighten screws or they will not hold parts together appropriately.

• Check all connections and tighten as required.
• Check all plastic parts before and after use for
cracks or broken pieces.
• Do not use during rain or snowy conditions.
• Charge the battery at least once a month while
vehicle is not in use.
• Do not spray with a hose or wash the vehicle
with soap and water.
• Wipe down with a damp cloth.
• Store vehicle indoors or cover with a tarp to
protect from wet weather.
• Do not leave vehicle in the sun for long periods
of time. Store in shade or cover with tarp.
• Check the tightness of all screws and fasteners
before each use.
• Check the tightness of the wheels.
• Ensure seat is secured with screws.
