Battery Care, Storage &
Disposal Instructions
• Do not dispose of battery in household trash.
• The battery is a sealed lead-acid battery. It must
be recycled or disposed of in compliance with all
government regulations.
• The incineration, landfilling, or mixing of sealed
lead-acid with household trash is prohibited by
law in most states.
• Best to leave battery in battery compartment
when vehicle is being stored.
Battery Installation &
Charging
• Connect batteries and wiring as per assembly
instructions/drawings.
• The batteries have to be charged before using
vehicle.
• Only use Step2 batteries and charger.
• Unplug charger before cleaning.
• Use charger in dry locations only.
• Periodically examine batteries and battery
charger for damage to the wires, cord, housing
or other parts that may result in the risk of fire,
electric shock or injury. If batteries or battery
charger are damaged, do not use.
• Do not make direct contact between battery
terminals, as this can cause an explosion or fire.
• The batteries contain chemicals known to
the state of California to cause cancer and
reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
DO NOT CHARGE BATTERIES BEYOND 24 HOURS

• Disconnect the battery when the vehicle is
not going to be used for long period of time.
• Only wipe battery clean with a dry cloth.
• If removed, store battery only on a wood surface.
Do not place on cement. This will result in battery
discharge.
• Store battery where temperatures are between
-10 degrees F (-23 degrees C) and 75 degrees F
(24 degrees C).
Use the indicator light on the charger to determine if
the vehicle is charged
• Indicator light RED - Charging
• Indicator light GREEN - Charged
