5.4 REPLACING THE GRIP WITH TRIGGER
Unscrew the screw V. Remove the grip F from the body
E by moving the grip back and forth, being very careful
not to tear the trigger wires when the two parts separate.
Disconnect the wires from the safety contacts G and H.
Disconnect the connection L. Unscrew the fi tting I after
cutting the insulating tube K. Replace the grip and follow
all of the above steps in reverse order, being careful to
insulate the connection R.
Note - Insulate the fi tting I by having the heat-shrink insu-
lating tube K adhere to it; this is done by heating it with a
small heat source (i.e., a cigarette lighter).
Before mounting the grip, make sure that the cables are
far apart and that the connections are fi rmly tightened.

5.6 REPLACING THE CENTRAL ADAPTOR N+W
Remove the spring P and cut the clamps holding the ca-
ble J. Open the cover W unscrewing the 4 screw and then
the screw M. Remove pins of the control cable X and Z.
Take note of the position of each pin and then remove the
U-bolt T and the pins of the pilot arc red cables Y and
Y1. Cut the insulating tube K2 and unscrew the body N
from the fi tting I1. Assemble the new fi tting by following
the above steps in reverse order. To block the thread of
the body N, use thread sealing adhesive. To avoid jeop-
ardizing the effectiveness of the safety device, it is
important that the body N contacts are connected as
follows: pegs Y and Y1 of the red pilot arc cables to
contacts 5 and 6, peg X of cable J to contact 1, peg Z
of cable J to contact 9.
Reconnect U-bolt T as described above.
5.7 WARNINGS
Periodically make sure that the welding torch cable is in-
tact and has no cuts or excessive wear. Replace it im-
mediately if needed.
