specified in the above table, the distance can be
determined using the equation in the respective
column where P represents the nominal output
of the transmitter in watts (W) as specified by the
transmitter manufacturer.
NOTICE 1 In order to calculate the recommended
safety clearance between transmitters within a
frequency range of 80 MHz to 2.5 GHz, an addi-
tional factor of 10/3 was used to reduce the prob-
ability that a mobile/portable communication
device accidentally brought into the patient area
causes a disturbance.
