Maintenance battery set for robot Mitsubishi RV2AJ
Maintenance Interval
Replacing the batteries
EN
This maintenance battery set (part no. 537000) must be installed for
the first time before the battery timer has run down (approx. one
year after date of purchase). It contains:
– 5x batteries (A6BAT) for the robotic arm and
– 1x battery (ER6) for the controller
The battery timer can be read out using the Teachpanel:
MENU / 5 MAINT / 5 POWER / "Battery ____"
The robot's batteries feature a buffer period of one year and must
therefore be replaced every year.
If the battery capacity runs out, the robot triggers error number
7520. In this case, the batteries need to be replaced immediately to
ensure that the encoder position data are not erased.
Make a backup copy of important robot programmes and position
data using a PC.
If the maintenance intervals are not observed, it may be necessary
to send in the robot for repairs at the cost of the customer.
1. The controller must be switched on and connected to the robotic
arm so that the encoder remains supplied with power while the
batteries are replaced.
2. Follow the instructions in the arm's manual:
MITSUBISHI RV-1A/2AJ series, Instruction Manual
Robot ARM SETUP & Maintenance (BFP-A8052-D)
Chapter "5.3.5 replacing the backup battery"
3. Reset the battery timer as described.
4. Now disconnect the mains supply from the controller.
5. Follow the instructions in the controller's manual:
MITSUBISHI CR1/CR1B Controller Instruction Manual
Controller setup [...] maintenance (BFP-A8054-H)
Chapter "5.3.2 Replacing the battery"
6. Please order a new battery set soon (part no. 537000).
