Note – Time settings
• If, during initial setup of the device, a DCF radio signal is not received within
the rst few minutes, the search is aborted. The radio icon will go out.
• If there are reception problems, we recommend leaving the clock to sit
overnight, since interference is generally less at night.
• In the meantime, you can start a manual search for the DCF radio signal at
another location or you can manually set the time and date.
• The clock automatically continues to search for the DCF radio signal on a daily
basis. If the signal is received successfully, the manually-set time and date are
overwritten.

6.2 Manually setting the date/time
• Press and hold the TIME SET button (1) for approximately 3 seconds to switch to
the manual time setting mode. The year display (YEAR) begins to ash.
• Set the following information in the order listed:
• Year, month, day, hour, minute, language and time zone (+/- 12)
• To select the individual values, press the + button (2) or the - button (3), and
con rm each selection by pressing the TIME SET button (1).

You can choose from German (GE), French (FR), Italian (IT), Spanish (ES), Dutch
(NE), Danish (DA) and English (EN) for the display of the day of the week.
6.3 Selecting 12 or 24-hour format
Note – 12/24-hour format
• The time is displayed in 12-hour format as standard. The radio signal icon
will disappear as soon as you change the time display to 24-hours format.
The alarm clock will automatically search for the radio signal again at the
next interval (usually at 2:00/3:00 o'clock in the morning). The icon will be
displayed again as usual when a radio signal is received successfully.
• If the radio icon should still not appear, change the installation location
and avoid areas with possible sources of interference (cordless and mobile
telephones, wireless speakers, WLAN, etc.), if necessary.
• Repeatedly press the – - button (3) to switch between 12 and 24-hour time
format.
6.4 Displaying a different time zone / foreign time
• Slide the LOCAL/FOREIGN switch (6) to the 'FOREIGN' position. The 'F' symbol
appears in the display.
• Press and hold the TIME SET button (1) for approximately 3 seconds until the
year display begins to ash.
• Set the following information in the order listed:
• Year, month, day, hour, minute, language.
• To select the individual values, press the + button (2) or the - button (3), and
con rm each selection by pressing the TIME SET button (1).
• Slide the LOCAL/FOREIGN switch (6) to the 'LOCAL' position to return to the
normal time display.
• The 'F' symbol in the display goes out.

6.5 Deactivating radio mode (QUARTZ mode)
• Press and hold the RC ON/OFF button (4) for approximately 3 seconds to
deactivate the radio mode. Instead of the symbol for the radio mode, 'OFF' (14)
appears in the display.
• Set the date and time as described in 6.2 Manually setting the date and time. The
hands synchronise automatically.
• Press and hold the RC ON/OFF button (4) for approximately 3 seconds to activate
the radio mode again.
• The radio symbol (8) appears in the display and the clock searches for the radio
signal.
6.6 Manual search for DCF signal
• Press and hold the + button (2) for approximately 3 seconds.
• The clock searches for a DCF signal. If no DCF signal is received, the clock displays
the last time stored.
• The clock automatically searches for the DCF signal several times a day (01:00,
03:00, 05:00, 13:00, 17:00, 21:00 hrs). If the signal is received successfully, the
time and date are overwritten.

6.7 Temperature display

• The temperature is measured and updated every minute.
7. Care and Maintenance
Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive
cleaning agents. Make sure that water does not get into the product.
