F-3.4) Conduit Box and Cable Assembly:
Refi ll with cooling oil as outlined in paragraph F-1.3. Position
cord grip plate (9) or conduit box (15) and square ring (10) over
opening. Place lockwashers (4) on cap screws (6), apply thread
locking compound (47) to cap screws (6) threads and torque to
16 ft lbs. Remove gland nuts (15B) and (15F- if equiped),
friction rings (15C) and (15G- if equiped), and grommets (15D)
and (15H- if equiped) from cord grip plate (9) or conduit box (15)
inspect and replace if required (see Figures 6 or 7).
Insert one friction ring (15C), grommet (15D), one friction ring
(15C) and gland nut (15B) into cord grip plate (9) for power cable
(15A). For OPTIONAL control cable (15E), insert
grommet (15H), friction ring (15G) and gland nut (15F). Torque
gland nuts (15B) and (15F) to 15 ft. lbs to prevent water
leakage.

G-2 PART NUMBER:
Conduit Box
The part number consists of a six (6) digit number, which appears

G-3 MODEL NUMBER:
This designation consists of numbers and letters which represent
the discharge size, series, horsepower, motor phase and voltage,
speed and pump design. This number is used for ordering and
obtaining information.
G-4 SERIAL NUMBER:
The serial number block will consist of a six digit number, which is
specifi c to each pump and may be preceded by a alpha charac-
ter, which indicates the plant location. This number will also be
suffi xed with a four digit number, which indicates the date the unit
was built (Date Code). EXAMPLE: A012345 0490.
Reference the six digit portion (Serial Number) of this number
when referring to the product.
