Troubleshooting

Problem
Pump continues to cycle at stall, or
will not hold pressure at stall
Pump does not cycle, or cycles
only once
Fluid in exhaust air
Pump runs erratic
Pump leaks fluid from manifold/
diaphragm
Air bubbles in fluid
Pump bleeds excessive air during
stall

Cause
Check valve ball, seat or o-rings,
worn, dirty, damaged or obstructed
Check valve ball stuck
Air diverter valve stuck or dirty
Pump outlet clogged
Ruptured diaphragm
Damaged o-rings
Diaphragm retaining nuts loose on
shaft
Clogged/restricted fluid inlet
Stuck or leaky valve balls/seats
Ruptured diaphragm
Clogged/restricted exhaust
Loose bolts
Damaged o-rings
Loose suction line
Ruptured diaphragm
Loose inlet manifold/damaged o-ring
Diaphragm retaining nuts loose on
shaft/o-ring damaged
worn director valve, o-rings, pistons
or gasket

Remedy
Clean and/or replace
Clean and/or replace
Use filters on air line entering pump
Check lubricator, fill with proper oil
Reset by depressing plunger on bottom
of director valve assembly
Replace
Replace
Fully tighten retaining nuts to seat
Inspect/clear
Replace/clean
Replace
Inspect/clear
Tighten bolts
Replace
Tighten
Replace
Tighten manifold bolts/replace rings
Tighten, inspect o-ring, replace
Inspect, replace all director valve
