Steam connection (steam models only)

The installation of steam-heated dryers (fed with high- or low-pressure steam) should be carried out
in accordance with the current regulations.
The sizes of the supply / condensation valves and of the outlet valve must be adequate for the
pressure and temperature levels required by the machine. Their diameter must never be smaller
than that of the dryer intake and outlet joints.
These dryers usually work under pressure loads ranging from 700 KPa y 900 KPa. Refer to the
table for the correct work pressure to be applied.
The machine inlets must be connected to the steam solenoid valve supplied. Fit a fine-mesh filter to
prevent dirt from damaging the valve diaphragm and have the locking valve ready for maintenance
and emergency operations.
The condensation outlet should be fitted with a steam tap of the right size for the installation
distance and characteristics.
After the steam valve it is advisable to fit a safety valve to prevent the liquid condensation from
returning. A locking valve is of the essence to carry out maintenance work and, in an emergency, to
ensure the proper working of the steam installation.
Other components (such as sight holes, drop separators, superstoves or expansion tanks) should
be added as required by the dryer installation and operation characteristics.
CAUTION: USE COMPONENTS DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND THE ACTUAL WORK PRESSURE
AND TEMPERATURE OF THE MACHINE.
