For your safety

Even though the MA 5 Flat Hifi System is not a dangerous device in itself, you should
be aware of possible risks during handling as to not unnecessarily risk harm to yourself
an others. Therefore, be sure to observe the following safety rules:
Transport and Installation
The system is heavy. If the system drops or falls over, damage or injury may result.
Only move the system with the assistance of another person. Only store the system
lying flat on a stable surface.
Only perform wall mounting with the assistance of another person. To avoid injuries,
the system must be securely fastened to the wall. Only mount the systems to walls in
dry indoor locations. Mounting and operating the system in damp locations such as
bathrooms or saunas is prohibited.
Electrical hazard
Please note the permissible electrical connection data indicated on the type plate loca-
ted on the rear of the system. Only connect the system to a fused power socket with
protective ground contact. Only use the provided mains cable.
Ensure that the mains plug is always accessible so that the system can be connected
from the main power supply at any time.
Prevent any liquid from entering the device. Liquid ingress can lead to fire.
Never open the housing in order to perform repairs or troubleshooting. You cannot
replace parts. Repairs must be performed by an authorized specialist.
Operation
Operate the system only in environments that comply with the specifications descri-
bed under Specifications (p. 60). Excessive ambient temperatures and humidity can
cause a fire and lead to severe damage.
Ensure that there is a sufficient air circulation around the device. Do not, for example,
cover it with another picture or another item placed in front of it.

The MA 5 Flat Hifi System uses the radio technologies Bluetooth

Bluetooth version is compatible with older versions; the frequency range used lies
between 2.408 and 2.480 GHz, allowing interference-free transmission over distances
of 10 m and more.
The integrated AudioFly
signals and can be connected to common AudioFly
iPhone, iPad or PC devices.
Many devices can easily be upgraded with AudioFly
Other connections
As an alternative to the user-friendly radio link, external audio sources such as CD
players, mp3 players and other playback devices can be connected to the system by
cable via the jack and cinch connectors.
To integrate the system into a wireless LAN, an Apple AirPort Express can be
connected to the system.
