Injuries
When somebody works in a vehicle without the displacement locking mechanism,
there the risk of being squeezed against the bench.
Engines have rotating and moving parts that can cause injuries in hands and
arms.
Electrically activated fans can start unexpectedly, even with the engine or ignition
off.
There are risks related to connection cables and the power grid when using the
test system.
Materials and objects left in improper places can also bring risks to the safety of
the operator.
Fuel high-pressure system connections must be carefully checked before starting
the engine.
- Prevention
• Always use protective glasses.
• During the test, lock the vehicle to avoid displacement.
• Do not touch parts with the engine running.
• When you work close to electric fans, let the engine cool off, and then connect
fan plug.
• Do not leave cables nearby a running engine.
• Lock the wheels of test system's rack so that the rack doesn't move.
• Install electric cables away from passages or crossing. Anyone could stumble
on them.
Noises
When the engine is under high rotation due to tests, noise levels can go beyond
70 dB(A) and cause hearing damages.
- Prevention
• Protect the place where tests take place against noise.
• It is advisable to use ear protectors.
