Check Electrical Phasing
Checking the Phasing of the electrical connections is a
simple procedure however it does require a Volt Ohm
Meter (VOM).
With the water turned off and the power connected
as above turn on the circuit breakers (DO NOT turn on
the power on the control panel of the unit)
1) Take voltage readings from each load terminal to
ground (L1 to G, L2 to G and so on for all four L1s and
L2s) you should register 110 to 120 volts. If this is
true, continue to the next step. If not, you must
repair electric service before installation.
2) Take voltage readings from First L1 to the first L2 you should register 208 to
240 volts. If this reading is true, continue to the next step. If the reading is low
then both sides of this circuit are on the same phase (connected to the same Hot
Bus Bar) and the unit will not work. You must repair electric service before
installation.
