Loading the Film
lnsta/1 DX-coded film in the camera and close the camera back. The
camera will automatically set the film speed and advance the film to the
first frame.

Open the camera back.
Open the camera back by sliding the
camera back release lever toward the arrow.
• If you cannot slide this lever because the
camera is mounted on a tripod, push the
camera back release button with the eyepiece
cover to open the camera back.

The film cassette will gel smoothly into the
film compartment if you fi t the recess in the
bottom of the cassette to the shaft in the
compartment as shown.
• Load and unload film in subdued light.
• This camera uses DX-coded film. The DX
mark and ISO fi lm speed are printed on the film
box and film cassette.
