ENGLISH
- Make sure that protective clothing is worn. See the "SAFETY
STANDARDS" chapter
- If this is the user's first time using the pruning machine /
branch cutter, make sure that an initial training period is
carried out.
- Work slowly and with good concentration - only use the
machine in the presence of good light and visibility - use
prudence.
- It is forbidden to use the machine while standing on a ladder,
a branch or upon any other unstable surface
- Do not operate the machine near live power lines: DANGER
OF FATAL ELECTRICAL SHOCK
- Hold the machine on a slant, do not stand directly beneath
the branch to be cut and do not exceed a cutting angle of 60°
with respect to horizontal.
- Place the machine on a flat and unencumbered surface - see
fig. 18.
- Remove the chain protection - the chain must not come into
contact with the ground or any objects - see fig.18.
- For the procedures for activating the motor and using the
hedge trimmer, see the instruction manual which comes
supplied with the hedge trimmer itself.
CUTTING SEQUENCE Fig. 19
- Cut the lower branches first in order to facilitate the removal
of the branches which have been cut.
THE CUT MATERIALS CAN BE USED FOR COMPOSTING.
ADVANTAGE - The bar's angle with respect to the machine
allows for the user to work on the trunk of the tree for almost
its entire circumference without having to change position.
ATTENTION: The task of branch removal involves a high risk
of rebound.
- Operate on the lower portion of the branches in order to avoid
stripping bark off the trunk and in order to prevent the bar from
recoiling or sticking:
a) perform a release cut (A), then
b) the removal cut (B)
- Make sure that protective clothing is worn. See the "SAFETY
STANDARDS" chapter
- For the procedures for activating the motor and using the
hedge trimmer, see the instruction manual which comes
supplied with the hedge trimmer itself.
The machine is designed for use on terrain which is not
excessively hard and which has preferably already been
turned.
Its use is particularly suited to removing grass and weeds
around bushes, rosebushes, flowers and vegetable gardens.
It is recommended to avoid pressing with excessive force
during use in order to avoid damaging the transmission's
gears.
The operator should move in a forward direction while
moving the tool forwards and backwards.
The speed of the motor should be determined based on the
terrain's typology and hardness.
PRUNER
- When the branch is of a large diameter, it is a good idea to
cut it by sections in order to facilitate its removal,
- do not operate the machine with a non-lubricated chain: dry
running will ruin the cutting device in a short period of time.
- Always check the chain's lubrication status and the level of
the oil in the tank before starting any work operation. The oil
is distributed automatically according to the speed at which
the motor is made to operate - see fig.17.

BREAKING IN THE CHAIN

- Run the chain at a low speed for two or three minutes and
check that the oil pump is functioning properly - see fig.17.
- Shut off the motor and adjust the chain's tension.
- Start up the motor and warm up the chain by making a few
cuts.
- Repeat the chain tension adjustment procedure - see the
"assembly" section.
WHILE OPERATING
- Check the tension of the chain frequently. If necessary,
perform the following procedure to adjust the chain' tension:
- PUT ON PROTECTIVE GLOVES
- Loosen the nuts (1) fig. 13.
- While pulling the end of the bar upwards with your left hand,
turn screw 1 clockwise (Fig. 15) until the chain adheres to the
bar's lower track.
ATTENTION: The chain's tension is correct when it adheres
to the lower track and can be easily made to slide clockwise
by hand.
Fig. 13 - Tighten the nuts (1) completely while keeping the tip
of the bar pointed upwards.
Note: The chain's tension and lubrication are fundamental
elements for proper cutting performance and the long life of the
cutting device.
TILLER
- DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE UPON HARD AND
COMPACTED TERRAIN.
- DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE ON ROCKY
TERRAIN
- DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE NEAR
OUTCROPPING PLANTS OR ROOTS
- DO NOT OPERATE THE MACHINE IN WATER. IF THE
TILLER BEGINS TO JUMP, SHUT OFF THE MOTOR
IMMEDIATELY. SHUT OFF THE MOTOR BEFORE
REMOVING ANY OBJECTS (ROOTS, CORDS, BAGS,
VEGETATION) FROM THE BLADES.
- DO NOT TOUCH THE REDUCER: DANGER OF BURNS.
