Tune your instrument so that the VU style meter moves
5.
to the " " position (center) and the center tuning guide
LED is lit (if using A=440 Hz as the reference pitch). The
left indicator of the tuning guide will light if your in-
strument is flat, and the right indicator will light if your
instrument is sharp.
The pitch is flat.
Each marking in the meter scale corresponds to 2 Hz.
For example if you want to tune each string of your in-
strument using a reference pitch of A=436 Hz, adjust the
tuning of each string so that the needle indicates two
steps below «440».
If you're using the internal mic, place your instrument
as close as possible to the mic so that extraneous
sound is not picked up while tuning.
Sound Out mode
In this mode you can tune while listening to a reference
tone.
1.
Follow steps 2-3 outlined in "Meter mode. "
2.
Press the SOUND button to enter Sound Out mode.
The reference tone is output from the speakers.
Press the SOUND button until the note to which you
wish to tune appears in the display. For the notes that
can be output, refer to step 3 of «Meter mode.» When
you make a complete cycle, you will return to Meter
mode.
GUITAR will output a pitch that is one octave higher
than the actual pitch of your instrument, and BASS will
output a pitch that is two octaves higher.
Tune your instrument to match the reference tone.
3.
If the SOUND button is pressed again, output of the
reference tone stops, and the GA-50 returns to Meter
mode.
Flat tuning
In either Meter mode or Sound out mode, you can tune to
a pitch that is between one semitone and five semitones

pear in the display.
