SAFETY

11.1 Fields of application

Machine shall be used only in good technical condition. Any conditions that may harm your
health, have to be prohibited. It is forbidden to change any parameters on the machine without
prior written permission by us.
The KAP 255XJL sliding compound saw is designed for cutting wood and plastic materials.
11.2

Misuse

 DO NOT USE THE MITRE SAW FOR CUTTING FIREWOOD!
 Do not operate the machine outside the stated technical restrictions laid down in this manual.
 Do not operate the saw without security devices.
 Do not dismount the saw blade protection.
 Do not use the machine for cutting any other material than wood and wood composite prod-
ucts and plastic.
 Do not manipulate the machine.
HOLZMANN MASCHINEN CAN NOT BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES TO MACHINE
AND HEALTH RESULTING FROM MISUSE AND OR NOT FOLLOWING THE SECURITY,
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS IN THIS MANUAL.
11.3

Security instructions

Stickers with security and usage instructions shall be always well fixed. If neces-
sary, replace them.
To avoid damage, malfunction, and injuries, stick to these security advises:
Read the manual carefully and get familiar with all components before operating
the machine for the first time.
This manual contains important information for correct operation of the ma-
chine.
This manual is part of the machine and shall be stored for later reference. Add
this manual tot he machine if handed to 3rd persons for use.
Stick to these Security Warnings and Instructions to reduce the risk of serious
injuries.
